Team Fortress 2's most important class, is arguably the support class. These are found working all over the map to keep your scouts running. Support also keep the heavy stocked and ready.
The medic is an important part of Team Fortress 2 not seen on Counterstrike Source game servers. The medic's primary weapon is the syringe launcher. Just as powerful, the medi gun is his secondary. Finally, his melee weapon is the bone saw.
The medic is the main healer on Team Fortress 2 game servers. You should therefore find any good medic on the front line healing the scouts and solders. Their job is in healing their fellow comrades but also trying to stay out of the firing line as much as possible. Because his weapons are mediocre, the medic should only focus on healing. By shooting an ally with the medi gun, the medic will receive a bonus of 150% on his own health. However, once the medic stops healing, the friend's health will return to normal. The medic and his ally will be made invulnerable for 10 seconds once an 'over charge' is achieved. This bonus is very effective when used with a heavy who is attacking a base and you're stood out of shot giving him a health boost. If you want to just keep your team mates happy and healthy on Team Fortress 2 servers then the medic gun awaits you!
The sniper rifle is the sniper's main weapon (surprise surprise!). For his secondary weapon, he carries a sub machine. A machete is used as his melee weapon. The sniper will take you out from long range if you stay still for too long. If you like hanging back and picking off targets from distance, you'll enjoy the sniper class. Finding the best spot where you are protected, but with good view is key to success with the sniper. You can take down targets in scores once you have found a good hiding spot. Taking out medic that is supporting the heavy is also a good tactic. Taking down the medic will then allow the rest of your team to progress on the ground much quicker. Your shot will become more powerful the longer you stay scoped on your target. An expanding laser scope indicates this. On the downside, don't expect to be able to pick off targets at close range with this weapon.
The James Bond of Team Fortress 2 servers is the spy. With the butterfly knife he can take out foes in one smooth movement. Be warned though, it's not instant and if they move out of range then you might have just been rumbled. The spy cannot use any of his weapons whilst cloaked and so will lose his current disguise if he uses anything but the electro sapper. The electro sapper is used to take out engineer's buildings, disabling them and slowly destroying them. The engineer can remove the sapper with a tap of his wrench, so make sure you take him out next. Don't forget that if you can see the disguise on a spy, he's friendly. So if you fancy yourself as the next 007 then pick up a disguise and get infiltrating!
