Regardless of your situation at home, you can use high-quality ladders to do the job. Ladders are your friend as long as you utilize them in a risk-free way. Superconductive ladders are not your best choice when working on an electrical box or anything that carries electricity. When you are purchasing a ladder, verify the load rating for it so you will not exceed it with your weight. More than likely you can find this information on a sticker or a label.

Going back to the topic of ladders, you must always use safety and common sense. Safety with a ladder usually begins with having someone help you to hold it steady. By keeping the base stable, they limit your chance of falling. Using the ladder as a way to reach for something by tipping it from one side to another is not a safe thing to do. Staying centered allows you to keep from falling.
